"You Know, a Frog Shop"

Apparently I still give off that hip-to-the-frog-scene vibe. Some kid in a Grateful Dead tie-dye (I didn't know anyone still wore those) just asked me for directions to the nearest head shop. Cheeky monkey.

  1. where did the phrase 'cheeky monkey' come from? my older son's mother-in-law uses it and she's from scotland. i've never seen anyone else ever use it.

  2. Wasn't there a Mike Myers skit on Saturday Night Live a while back where he plays some little Britster kid in a bathtub? I think he used it, and I think that's where I got it. Anything with "monkey" in it is intrinsically hilarious.

  3. Isn't that "Hello my name is Simon and I like to do draw-ring"?

Damn. Now that's going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

  4. Precisement. I also picked up "drawring" from him and added it to my big bucket of tourretic tics. Fertile ground.
