  1. Grotesque, and yet beautiful. It's the small section of orange that gets me. Did they just have a quarter can of paint left over from something else (maybe the house next door) and thought, "Hey, you know what this place could really use..."?

    I especiallly like the spray painted X... on the sidewalk. The National Guard (or whoever was on their block) had such an appreciation of that beautiful color that they didn't mess up the paint. Nice touch of blue sky, too. I'd swear you color saturated this photo, but I know better.

  3. What's funny is how common this color is around town. I've thought of doing a whole photo-series on toothpaste blue-green houses. I'd have no shortage of subjects. And another one of Pepto-Bismol pink homes.

    It is a bit eye-scorcing, but I must say that I prefer this to the endless shades of "putty" that prevail in some of the tonier neighborhoods.
