  2. Ah, Carrollton Avenue memories. What a beautiful photo.

  3. We just ate there for the first time in ages. (I think they only very recently reopened.) It was a hoot. Everybody was really old, and talked really quietly except us and our inevitably-more-rambunctious-than-the-octogenarians kids, and everyone was surprisingly dressed up because clearly they thought of it as a kind of fancy night out, but I was in my working-around-the house-grubbies because we had been grubbing around the house all day and only randomly landed there when Endymion was threatening to swallow all of Uptown, and the bridge to the Westbank was jammed solid so we couldn't get Vietnamese, so we figured "If Endymion is Uptown, Mid-City must be emtpy. Let's go there." And there we were.

The pizza was good, the house salad was great, and the people watching was to-die-for.

  4. I don't remember ever going to that restaurant, but I did go to Pho Tau Bay a fair amount in recent years. And Broccatos, and for a while we got seafood at KJeans... before we went back to Bucktown. That little niche of Carrollton holds so many happy memories. Who remembers Movie Pichers?

  5. Surely, funky couches and all. (Sadly, Broccato's was closed on this most recent excursion.)
