a) Barbra Streisandb) Celine Dion
just for the record, folks, I don't even know where to start with this one!
Yeah, it's a real stumper.
Streisand. If only for her sixties fashion, and contribution to drag...Plus Celine Dion rubs me the wrong way like nobody else.
I agree with Hm... on this one.
I'm going to third that emotion. (Will anyone vote for Celine? I wait with bated breath.)
I'll vote for Celine, for her beautiful ballad, "My Heart Will Go On". I heard a lovely dance version of it once...
I think the difficulty with this question is that Barbra Streisand is a cheeseball, whereas Celine Dion is a glimpse into the howling void. Do not look into that void, Beth! Oh the mind, mind has mountains, frightful, sheer, no-man-fathomed! Hold them cheap may who ne'er hung there! Nor can our small durance deal with that steep and deep!
Let's not forget that a Celine song was chosen as Hillary's campaign song. It was chosen by her "supporters" but I think we have to attribute it to straight up sabotoge.
Beth made a cake once, in the shape of the Titanic. It weighed about twenty pounds. It was for a friend who inexplicably loves the film Titanic. Embedded in the bowels of the chocolate beast she had installed a little tape player and speakers, set to play that Celine Dion song over and over and over again. Thing was, the cake was so dense that in order to hear the song, you had to put your ear right up against the cake, and even then, it was this far-off, muffled thing, like Celine was singing from the bottom of the sea. I vote Barbra.
Wow! I vote Beth.
