Posts, Pictures, and Pointless Ephemera
very glad you guys made it out. hoping for the best (ticking west, blustery day).
I'm glad you & your family are safe, and I hope you return to an undamaged home.
we've got our fingers crossed over here. glad you and your family are safe.
First started reading your blog in the Katrina days. Here we go again, eh? Good luck to you all. I hope you're right about the storm tracking west and bringing just some showers. But... better safe than sorry.
Long timer-lurker, occasional poster here. Like Anne D. I found your blog post-Katrina and have kept reading it because of the wit and intelligence of your writing and funny cartoons. Plus you turned me onto "The Sounds in My Head"!! For that alone I love you (in a non-sexual purely music-geek sort of way) Let's hope you win your landfall bet...BTW I'm wondering if you saw the August 17th NY Times Magazine cover story about "The Post Katrina Classroom"? Very good article, I read it with your stories of schoolin' school reverberating in my memory.Keeping you and family and all those the region in my prayers.
I'm glad you made it.You probably could have gotten out of your car and done a few yoga poses during that 10 hour drive.I'll be thinking of you.In the meanwhile, I've mentioned you on my my blog as well as a few links to the local animal shelters helping out with the evacuation of pets.
Happy to know you made it. Will keep you and family in my thoughts and prayers.
Dave, Rouse here. Drove by your house and it looks completely fine. Milan street, 3 blocks from you has power (hence the internet). Gotta go. I have to go kill some stray animals while I have the chance.
Thanks, Mr. Rouse. Glad to know it.
