Better Late Than Never—The gals and their wigwam, Virginia, early summer, constructed under the guidance of yours truly. They spent many happy ours of their vacation crouched in it, having adorable little tea parties.

  1. The wigwam is still here, despite munching by the sheep and some passing by tropical storms, just waiting for two cute little girls to come back and hold tea parties in it!

  3. I went through a wigwam-stage during my lots-of-time-alone-on-the-farm youth, part of a broader "survivalist" stage during which I also became obsessed with figuring out what sort of weird wild-growing things I could eat: poke salad, Jerusalem artichokes, wild watercress...

    Given the state of the economy more of us are going to need to be able to build wigwams, look for poke, etc.!!!
