Posts, Pictures, and Pointless Ephemera
Willie Tubbs hails from Macon Georgia, the city that produced so many great musicians like the Allman Brothers, parts of R.E.M., Otis Redding and Little Richard plus others. Willie lived in extreme poverty as a child earning money by shining shoes, sweeping out stores and washing dishes. He has been a religious man all his life. His father was a preacher and his mother sang in the choir. He too sang in the church choir, but his father and mother insisted on good schooling so his singing aspirations never led him into the music industry. His family scraped and saved enough money to send him to Tuskegee University where he pursued a degree in teacher education. He then taught people how to teach for many years at the University. After Willie retired and his spouse of many years died, he underwent a religious crisis. He eventually came to find a brand of syncretic Sufism and peace within.
You have a spider-web thing going with the jacket. Another version where maybe the tie is the spider?
Marco has quite an imagination. Actually he is George Washington Amos and he lives with his wife, Sallie, near Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He is a retired railroad porter, has a little garden, a cat and two hound dogs and his children and grandchildren all live just down the road.
