Snail Grave

June's Druidic tendencies continue. She found a few snail shells in the back yard and decided to construct this little snail "grave" for them, with a commemorative ring of stones. Hilarious.

What an extraordinary child. She seems to have a strong inclination to put order in things. Classic patterns. And such a little person.

  2. Little Gothic vein in the child?

  4. Why do you describe something so solemn as hilarious, except to express your own discomfort at her belief? Don't mock your daughter's nascent faith, even and especially if you don't understand it. She is not you.

  5. SeekHer, I fear you have misinterpreted both aspects of both the original event and of my recounting. And arrived at a misguided judgement as a a consequence. The snail grave is beautiful. It's sweet. It's serious. It's playful. And it's hilarious. All of those are good qualities. And they all co-exist in this lovely little creation of my lovely little druid/naturalist daughter, June. I don't mock her in the least. Happy browsing.
