Posts, Pictures, and Pointless Ephemera
Daniel Laborieux, born under the sign of the fishes (Pisces), is a poet and music aficionado. He favors Gary Snyder, Rexroth, Corso, Langston Hughes, Amiri Baraka and the surrealist tinged word wizards. He digs that it was the eminent Irish poets of times long ago that started it all along with the troubadours of Provence. He likes Bebop but rarely listens to Charlie Parker. He prefers Bossa Nova and vibes that swing. He digs the Prez, the Hawk, the Frog, tenors with soul. His poetry has been published but he can't make a living from word imagery. So he opened up a pet bird shop on Freret. He has birds from all over the world and in all colors. His store is a cacophany of the poetic spoken word , tenor sax players rooted in the blues and bird calls, bird songs and incessantly talking birds. Many people leave the store in complete amazement and disarray. Some never come back. Others do.
