Holy Shit! So glad to hear you guys are not there - are Bill and Nick gone too? Did you drive all night? Who are you staying with? Where's annou & other family? Call if you can. Understand if you can't. Keep us posted, Love, C
Billy and Nik are in Oxford, MS. Annou is with us. My parents (who were visiting for the weekend) are with us. The cat and the dog are with us. We drove through the night, managing to beat any traffic, and are staying in a motel.
Everyone we know had the good sense and ability to head out of town. I'm deeply worried for any one left behind, and, of course, I'm worried about what we're going to find when we head home. 175mph sustained winds. Never seen anything like it.
do you get tornadoes as well as hurricanes? that's all way too much excitement for me. glad to hear you and et al. got away with no trouble. now if you can just go BACK to no trouble ...
Stay safe. This is so terrifying. Last night we couldn't hardly find anything on the news about the storm - everything was about the gas prices in California. Idiots.
Holy Shit!

According to projections, Memphis is in for a lot of rain, too. Be careful! I hope for the best when you return home.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you all (wife, kids, parents, aunt, cat and dog) are ok.

We're thinking about you guys. Take care.
