Apparently I still give off that hip-to-the-frog-scene vibe. Some kid in a Grateful Dead tie-dye (I didn't know anyone still wore those) just asked me for directions to the nearest head shop. Cheeky monkey.
Wasn't there a Mike Myers skit on Saturday Night Live a while back where he plays some little Britster kid in a bathtub? I think he used it, and I think that's where I got it. Anything with "monkey" in it is intrinsically hilarious.
where did the phrase 'cheeky monkey' come from? my older son's mother-in-law uses it and she's from scotland. i've never seen anyone else ever use it.

ReplyDeleteIsn't that "Hello my name is Simon and I like to do draw-ring"?
ReplyDeleteDamn. Now that's going to be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
Precisement. I also picked up "drawring" from him and added it to my big bucket of tourretic tics. Fertile ground.
