I thought the second week was supposed to be easier than the first. Not the case. The kids were definitely putting their best foot forward last week. This week they're pushing every limit they can find. (Today I had to physically place myself between two very angry seventh grade girls to stop a fight.) Whew!

Onward and upward.

Wow. I'm tired just reading this.
So, Dave, 6 out of the 10 entries so far this month end with the phrase "Onward and upward." A mantra, perhaps?
What about toward and sidewaysward? Or standingstillward? Ninthward?
You are a better man than I. Thanks for documenting this experience; can't wait to see what happens.

I was thinking also of 'downward and backward', but in a good way-- deep into the original foundations.

Or maybe 'round and round the center.'

There's something a little exhausting about the thought of 'onward and upward.'

BTW, keep up the excellent work, Slim.
