Head shop owner? Wood shop teacher? Former roadie for Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young? 3 p.m. barfly? Post-Transcendentalist poet? Suede aficionado? All of the above?
Ernie was a roadie but, not for CSN. He was a roadie for the Fugs. He was know for his impromptu Afro-percussion jags when he sat in with the band. During that time he ingested lots of Bolivian marching powder. Later in life he became a hermetic-monk studying Gurdjieff. Alchemy and Neo-Platonism. He emerged from his solitude and wrote several books, one of which became a minor cult classic, his "Talking Heads Remixes vs. Urban Non-Cities". Recently he was spotted playing percussion again, but this is not yet confirmed.
All of the above, plus he's a CPA.
