Sign in the middle of City Park (in the middle of New Orleans): "BRIDGE OUT 42 MILES AHEAD. LOCAL TRAFFIC ONLY." That's a pretty liberal definition of "local".
I think the same thing every time I pass it. I think it is .(point)42 miles, which seems much more accurate. You can't get past Wisner Blvd to go the other 41 and a half miles to get to the next closed bridge. Then again, why go past Wisner when the drive along Bayou St. John is so close to the water on that side of the street?
