Yeah, he's definitely looks pretty tough. And the style's definitely rough. I'm not sure how much I'm liking the style, but oh well:
process, baby, process! Can't make good without making some ugly along the way. Stylistic considerations aside, there's definitely some personality there, definitely a story: old-school gangster movie-style hit man? Though perhaps I'm unfairly stereotyping him. Maybe he gets up each morning, works an honest job, goes home each evening, and
sitting in at his kitchen table, writes sentimental poetry late into the evening. Dunno.
or possibly the farmer with a somewhat squashed hat that got dressed/tressed up to go to town...
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Tangentially, I like the old-school farmer thing where a starched shirt, tie, and one's best pair of overalls could be considered semi-formal atire.
DeleteCarlo Ricci operates off the grid and under the radar. He has a cadre of people under him who help launder money that has been accidently tainted through contact with certain illegal substances transported from Central and South America. Carl likes to live big. He has an enormous mansion a top a hill in Texas hill country that is 14,000 sq. ft. He also has a fleet of Maserati's and Lamborghini's and a few lengthy yachts. He has his own jets. Carlo buys love. Carlo is lonely. He has no true friends. He has a myna bird named Sophie. He plays his Martin guitar and sings himself lonesome love songs as the coyotes wail in the night.
ReplyDeleteAww shucks, poor Carlo. That loves + wailing coyotes thing has got me all broken up.
