From the Doodle-Ma-Tron: Punk Gal

  1. Pina Bosco has fronted "The Maligners" for three years. Their brand-style of punk includes swamp funk intertwined with echoes of country outlaw and tinges of Manchester 80's & The Smiths. But they don't stop there. They also manage to incorporate Brasilian MPB, particularly Vinicius Cantuaria. Against this unlikely backdrop, Pina's vocals paint an eerie canvas filled with cosmological imagery and down home black post-apocalyptic humor. Songs like "Take Me To The Red Shift Zone" and "Worry For A Neutrino" and "Pass The Donkey Sauce". They are amazingly unpopular and highly unprofessional, but they have fun.

  2. Update: Pina Bosco is now known as Bomina Leonetti. She legally changed her name over the weekend.
